CoinDepo Aligns Earn Rates With Asset Returns and Deposit Durations
CoinDepo will adjust Daily and Annual APRs on its interest accounts effective November 8, 2026. The changes bring offered yields into closer alignment with the income each asset can generate, and with the length of time client funds remain on the platform.
Interest paid to account holders comes from deploying deposits across a diverse range of activities that center on lending. At the end of Q2 2026, overcollateralized crypto lending accounted for 37% of deployed capital and microcredit programs for 24%. The remainder supported market-neutral trading strategies, liquidity pools, real-world and private-market investments, and stablecoin yield strategies.
Revenue from these activities covers interest payments to clients, operating expenses, and liquidity reserves. These operations expose the platform to market, credit, and counterparty risk.
Under the terms of the update, Daily APRs fall on each of the 30 assets covered by the main comparison table. EURC remains unchanged at its existing 10% Daily APR. Daily APRs on USDT and USDC fall from 17% to 15%, while their Annual APRs drop from 23% to 22%. Daily APRs on BTC and ETH move from 12% to 11%, with their Annual APRs remaining at 18%.
Across the 30 assets, the gap between Daily and Annual rates widens from six percentage points to seven. The size of the adjustment varies by asset; FIL’s Annual APR, for example, declines from 18% to 12% as longer-term rates are recalibrated.
Deposit Duration and Capital Deployment
Shorter funding periods require the platform to keep a larger share of capital in liquid form so withdrawals can be met promptly. This reduces the amount that can be placed into higher-yielding lending and investment opportunities. Longer and more predictable funding horizons allow closer matching of deposits to lending and investment opportunities. The wider spread between Daily and Annual APRs captures that difference in how efficiently capital can be put to work.
Daily accounts remain available for users who prefer continuous access to their funds.
What Happens to Rates on Existing Open Accounts?
Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual Interest Accounts that are already open retain their present rates until the current term ends. The updated rates take effect only for newly opened accounts and for accounts that renew after the effective date.
The complete before-and-after comparison is available in CoinDepo’s Earn rate update, along with disclosures describing the activities that generate client interest.
